I had to get my feet wet. I had not waded and thrown soft plastic in a very long time. Wading these soft muddy bottom lakes, by myself the other 4 fishermen with me would not wade the soft bottom. I did have a dear friend with me (in my heart) Dale Harrison who passed a way two weeks ago. I meet Dale in 1992 he had the same love for fishing that I did. He was originally from Kansas but in no time at all he became was a very very good saltwater fisherman. Dale was 10 years younger then me and would tell me come on old man lets try this muddy lake. We waded soft muddy bottoms from POC to Baffin Bay. We also waded shell reefs one of these reefs I call Dale’s reefs. Over the year’s we have pulled more limits of trout off this reef then any other I fish. Dale moved away some year’s back but would come down and give me fishing lesson any chance he got. Dale I had 6 trout 2 reds you would have had you limit on both.
